czech beads

The Czech Republic, specifically an area called Jablonec or “The Crystal Valley”, has been manufacturing glass beads since the late 1500s. Originally sought after for their round and faceted beads, Czech manufacturers are now probably best known for their innovative two-hole beads that feature a variety of unique shapes. Most Czech beads are made by pressing molten glass into a mould, this relatively quick and easy process translates to low labour costs making Czech beads an affordable option for your beading needs. Czech beads do have some slight variations in size and shape from bead to bead. We always recommend that you make sure both holes on two hole beads are clear before you start any bead weaving projects, as a hole will occasionally be blocked.
